ATP Tour - Federer triumphs in Estoril

World number one Roger Federer won his first title of the season at the Estoril Open after Russia's Nikolay Davydenko retired with a leg injury.

The Swiss top seed saved a set point before winning the opener 7-6 and was 2-1 down in the second when number two seed Davydenko announced his decision to retire.

"This is not the way you want to win a tournament but that's the way it goes sometimes," said Federer, who recently hired clay court expert Jose Higueras to help him recover from the worst start to a season since 2000.

"It's great to win a title again in my first clay court tournament this season and it gives me great confidence for the Monte Carlo Open."

The 12-time Grand Slam winner has a perfect 10-0 record against Davydenko.

"I'm sorry about what happened today," the 2003 champion Davydenko told a packed stadium in centre court at the Estoril Open. "You know, I have some leg injury and I can't finish the match.

"Sorry guys."

He later said that he planned to play in the prestigious Monte Carlo Masters Series next week.

Federer said he had fully recovered from a stomach virus and mononucleosis earlier this season and that the matches at Estoril had enabled him to fine-tune his game before the French Open, the only grand slam tournament that has eluded him so far him.

"My movement from the baseline could always be better but getting to those drop shots really showed me this week that I'm again in good health," said Federer.

"I haven't had any fallbacks or anything which is a good thing. I feel great again."

Asked if it was a relief to have finally won a tournament this season, Federer replied: "Not really, some might think it's a great breakthrough. I don't see it that way. I look at the big picture.

"The big matches are coming up, the French Open the US Open where it really kind of matters very, very much. If I lose there I'm disappointed, if I win there I'm going to be delighted.

"This is a great start to the clay court season."

After 5 months of a title drought.. It's about time he got finally one for himself.

And he's got something about the Philippines. Alam na niya na big hit na yung Hana Kimi dito and he's been persuading his managers / producers to come here together with his band (Fahrenheit)..yun nga lang he is not yet that successful. Wala naman daw silang promotional activities here.

Huh??! meron kaya... promote nila yung band nila. Sisikat din yun...parang F4.

Understood - Tank (music video)

This is the music video of Understood by Tank. It’s original Chinese name is “Dong Le” which is an OST for the TV series Hana Kimi.. to which I’m a fan.

The reason why I posted it here in my precious blog is because I really want this song. Okay… think that I’m weird or eerie or whatever but this song honestly gives me the chills whenever I hear it. I feel soo in love all of a sudden.

If there’s only an English or Tagalog song with the similar beat or lyrics to this.. I’ll almost certainly (or surely) love it and will ever try my best to put the song on MYX hit chart top 10. Unfortunately, I haven’t heard such tune like this.

I’m really happy that I was able to find an English translation for its mandarin lyrics. I found it on one blogger too! (Thanks!) The words and its meaning are really lovely.

Unfortunately, (or luckily??) I have a friend who also wants its mandarin translation. For the sake of my friend, I’m going to post it. I think she’ll make my site a karaoke blog..haha! Just hope you’ll enjoy (and the others as well). Yeah, right.. go on sing!!

HANA KIMI FAN!

Have you heard of ABS-CBN’s latest chinovela hit in town? Well, of course those who resides here in Philippines will definitely know it.

I really love Hana Kimi.. I super love it.

On what basis do I love it? Okei.. just look at these factors: Cute, romantic story plus lovely characters plus handsome male actors = Super kilig story. After Metoer Garden, eto na siguro yung sumunod na magandang chinovela na napanood ko ever. Syempre magkaiba naman yung Korea nobela and chinobela eh. Ang gwapo lang naman kasi talaga ni Brian (lead actor) tapos ang cute pa ni Joey (lead actress) kaya nahook talaga ako sa TV series na to. Actually, nakabili na nga ako ng DVD niya para may mapanood akong maganda this summer. As of this moment, naunahan ko na yung ABS-CBN doon sa pinapalabas nila na episode sa Hana Kimi. All in all 15 episodes siya.. I’m at the 8^th episode na. Enjoy na enjoy talaga ako pag pinapanood ko siya.. nakakarelate ako. Hehe!

Actually, yung mga bidang characters dun are both singers sa Taiwan. The girl happens to be a band member named S.H.E where the letter E in the band’s name corresponds to her real name Ella. And then yung 2 boys na sikat naman happens to be a band member named Fahrenheit. Si Wu Chun and Jiro Wang. Waaaahh! Medyo alam ko na nga yung ibang facts about them.. kasi nga naging fan na ako.

And then, madami na din akong nahanap na video nila sa you tube. Mga songs and music videos na kahit in Chinese eh pinapakinggan ko pa rin. Buti nalang merong iba na mga English subtitle yung video kaya naiintindihan ko na rin kahit papano. Maganda kasi yung beat and lyrics nung song. I remember tuloy nung may Metero Garden and F4 fever dito sa Manila..ganito din ako nun. Hahaha! Pati concert nila napanood ko pa.

Ewan ko lang kung ganon din kahit sila compared sa F4 and kay Barbie Hsu.
Regarding dun sa mga youtube videos, I was able to find out a way kung pano madownload sila to my computer. It’s really great and really cool! Now, I can check-out my favourite videos every now and then kasi nga it’s easily uploaded to my PC. What a great discovery.

SING, SING, SING!

For those who haven’t seen this TV series yet.. The story goes like this:

After watching a high jump competition, Lu Ru Xi (Joey) was so inspired by a jumper named Zuo Yi Quan (Brian) that she decides to transfer to his school, which happens to be an all-boys school; therefore, she disguises herself as a boy to get accepted. At the school, Ru Xi befriends Jin Xiu Yi (Wesley). One day during a friendly soccer match, Rui Xi is knocked unconscious by Xiu Yi.

Quan carried her to the infirmary and realizes that Rui Xi is in fact a girl!

However, Quan keeps her indentity a secret. At the same time, Xiu Yi starts to question his own sexual orientation when he finds himself having feelings towards Rui Xi.

Why do things have to change while others don’t?

As what some people say: Only the good girls keep diaries…because they have the time. Time to scribble down all the things they have in mind, their ideas, their happenings, their opinions…EVERYTHING.

As for our modern world, scribbling down is not the hip thing anymore. More people prefer typing (just like me) that’s why blogs were developed. As for me, I’m not that familiar with blogs…not since 1^st year college. One close friend introduced it to me..and since then (I think it was November) I started blogging. Typing down every bits of experience I have experienced. Name it…be it a super kilig one or a disappointment. And take note, I wasn’t contented with blogspot..I have my friendster blog and my multiply account. That’s how high-tech we are right now. But I share more in here…I feel more privacy. Just like a written diary. (I hope!)

Why am I saying all these stuffs here? Well, it’s because I just read 2 nights ago my diary when I was 15 years old. Yup! 4 years ago..I have this cute diary where I kept all my secrets..and I tell you, they’re deep ones. Well, after reading it, it gave me a hearty laugh. Some words are in wrong grammars (which is just normal, because upto now..I have my own errors. Oh, forgive me!) and then I have these secrets..secrets that were still secrets upto now. To tell you honestly, I was a bit saddened.

Why saddened? Because I felt like I wasn’t able to move on with THAT. Way back..it’s noted that I have that je ne sais quo (indescribable feeling) for 4 years. As for the present, that diary is 4 years ago..so it means that I have that stupid feeling for around 8 years now. I prefer to call it stupid..because of the fact that I wasn’t able to move on. It keeps hunting me… that made me miserable. Why am I like this? I want to wake-up..
but it appears that I’m enjoying with this small fantasy of mine.

I don’t really believe that First Love Never Dies. I force myself not to. But I guess, it’s hard to fool oneself. I succeed at times, but then again, I’ll realize that I will fail - - over and over again. I say something like “I promise, I won’t think of him…I’ll think of other things..I’ll stop this nonsense” The next day, I’m on my same routine.

One of my friend told me that why is LIFE so unfair. You keep on thinking about one person, and yet you don’t have the assurance that that same person is thinking of you as well. Thinking is really hard..especially when it’s the same memory, same instance, same person. There’s no something new..except of course when you imagine new stuffs..but it’s still hard. It makes your head hurt. If brains can only act, it might slap me already for thinking same thoughts everyday. Silly me! (.^__^.)

I told my friend na lang that ,maybe, it’s a good idea if a boy and a girl can swap worlds for a day. Maybe all our questions can be answered…

While reading my diary last time, I really wanted to have my little drama..you know, a bit of a crying mode. First, I wanna cry because I’m a good girl. Being proud that I was able keep a diary where I can be able to look back with all the things that had happened to me and be able to have one upto now. Second, to weep about the fact that something remains the same for 8 years. Yes.. whopping 8 years. I kept it as a secret..no single breathing human person knows about the truth except me. Well, my Mom knows partly about it, my friends know about it but they only know the half truth. It’s not bad to keep a secret only for myself, isn’t it? That won’t harm anyone…only oneself. It’s a matter of choice..and it’s my choice.

After reading it, I asked myself “What if that person knows about this? Will he be happy? Happy that someone had this kind of affection for him? Or sad because I’m having a hard time forgetting things. If he’s gonna be angry..much better. That may end up all of these, but how can I know? I just stayed as his online pal…ONLY!I just can’t ask him and share all my dilemmas and expect an answerto be flashed on screen..

I might as well not expect anything from any person…
I must release all these negativity inside of me.
I must believe in myself that I can stand-up for myself..I must learn how to be independent..as soon as possible.
I must not be that emotionally attached to any other person except for my parents and close friends (that will really be hard)
I must start forgiving and forgetting. (I think I have talked about this last January..upto now I can’t do it.)
I must look at the brighter side of life.
I must stop the things that keeps on hunting me. Start a new life..

I’m just thankful for all those persons that’s always ready to share some advice whenever I’m asking one. Be it a joke or a serious one..I’m still thankful.

In spite all of these… I know I’ll be fine.

I just found out last night that Sony Ericsson Open which is held at Miami Florida is televised at Star Sports channel. Why didn't I checked it anyways??! The sad part is that it is televised during the wee hours in the morning.
If ever I can, I will upload some video gif's in here. They're really cool..trust me!

By the way, I'm currently watching PBB Teen Edition Plus and Big Brother made good choices in choosing his teen housemates now. Compared to last season..I so much love this season! My personal favorite is Robi. Well, he's a True Blue Atenista. He's cute..that's why I love him. I want him to win or maybe be part of the big 4.
I remember...Mikee Lee is an Atenean too from the last teen edition season.
Anyway, there's from La Salle too and there's from FEU pa... why is it there's no one coming from UST...Thomasians?! Oh, never mind.. it's okei!

S.M.A.R.T.E - - - > oh! Okei.. Smart na Maarte.. that's cool! :p

I just love summer time!
It's perfect for relaxation, for watching your favorite TV show, drowning yourself in a movie marathon or eating all the foods you want. (but of course, have a proper kosher!) And oh, by the way... planning gimmicks with your friends should not be missing on the long list.

As of today, I've watched two movies:

THE NANNY DIARIES

THE NANNY DIARIES is the story of Annie Braddock (Scarlett Johansson), a fresh-out-of-college Jersey girl who is uncertain of her future. Annie’s mother is pressuring her to take a job in business, but Annie has more interest in anthropology. After blowing her first interview with a New York financial firm, Annie heads to Central Park to mull over her options. As fate would have it, it’s there that she meets Mrs. X, a wealthy mother from the Upper East Side.
Mrs. X happens to witness a warm interaction between Annie and her son Grayer, and mistakenly assumes Annie is a nanny. She immediately offers Annie a job, and despite the warnings of her best friend, Linette (Alicia Keys), Annie takes it. She decides to approach the job like an anthropologist in the field, and she is alternately fascinated and appalled by her observations. Despite their luxurious lifestyle, the Xs are revealed to be a truly dysfunctional mess. Annie quickly learns that money might indeed buy you a house on Nantucket, but it certainly can’t buy you an honest husband or the affection of your son.
The film has a great time poking fun at the absurdity and hypocrisy of Manhattan’s upper-crust, and it’s at its funniest when relying on the sharp observations of its source material. It’s surprisingly fanciful in places, with quick nods to MARY POPPINS and its very amusing use of the Natural History Museum. A sort of THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA with a fantastical edge, THE NANNY DIARIES is a satisfying slice of cinematic schadenfreude.

I love this movie... add to that is the "Harvard Hottie" in the film which is linked to Annie. This guy kinda look like the guy from Gossip Girl..I forgot his name already..oh... never mind!

ENCHANTED

With a fine cast and fun in-jokes, Disney’s ENCHANTED is sure to cast a spell over both children and adults. It begins with a 2-D animation sequence reminiscent of the company’s beloved past. Surrounded by dozens of cute animals, Giselle sings about her desire to find her one true love. Meanwhile, a handsome prince overhears her, and they meet and fall in love. In many Disney movies, this is where the story ends, but ENCHANTED is just starting out on its journey. The prince’s wicked stepmother can’t stand to lose her throne, so she pushes Giselle down a well, and the beauty ends up in the real world. Gone is the animated fantasy, and a live-action Giselle lands in the middle of Times Square in New York City. Her optimism and perkiness put her at odds with the New Yorkers she encounters, but she gets help from a cynical divorce lawyer as she waits for her prince to rescue her. Fans of Disney classics from SLEEPING BEAUTY to BEAUTY AND THE BEAST will be glad to see their favorite films referenced in ENCHANTED. Jodi Benson makes a brief appearance, and the evil queen threatens to kill Giselle with a poisoned apple à la SNOW WHITE. Though it reminds the audience of past favorites, ENCHANTED boasts its own script that is at once intelligent and heartwarming. As a result, ENCHANTED is a film that deserves to sit on a shelf with Disney’s classics.

The movie is great... it includes some movie cuts from the classics Snow White and Cinderella... but I just can't give this movie 5 stars. I don't know... it just didn't got my attention that much. But it's worth watching, I must say.

We just watched two movies today. We'll reserve the other ones for the next days.. we're not on a hurry that much. Let the DVD player do the work! hehe...

Next topic:
I'm amused that I saw one of Roger's game at Balls channel last night. It's a match against Pete Sampras at Madison Square Garden. It's just a fun/charity game but at least Roger won this game. I mean, even though it's just a FUN game.. it's still considered as a serious match-up between 2 of the greatest tennis players of all time. Well, Pete Sampras was regarded by Roger Federer as his childhood hero and take note Sampras won 14 grand slam major titles while Roger have only 12 on his list. I think he's on the run for getting the same or more than that of Pete's. I don't know.. only time and Roger can tell that.

To end this, I want to share something funny about myself. This happened last Black Saturday. This is how it goes.
I was surfing our tv channels when I get passed this korean channel, so expect that I can't understand their language, right?
But what's weird is that I get hooked-up to it...
ask me why?
It just so happens that this channel is airing a korean talk show and their guest is a korean boy band named TOHOSHINKI... (Rising Gods from the East) and I tell you...this boy band members are all cuties and hotties.
Ewan ko ba... I'm not that much into Chinese or Koreans (???) but they got this charm and appeal that kept me hooked on their show from 12am to 1:00am...and take note.. hindi ko naiintindihan yung salita nila hah.. hehe! Wala lang, I'm just looking at them..their moves and the way they talk. Ah basta.. weird talaga...hehe!

It's summer time!
But before I hit the beach and savor the goodness that this summer brings, let me remind myself that it's still time for the lenten season so I must observe silence and reflect on things that needs to be reflected on. That's why I remembered that I still have my blogspot... and I have committed myself to the responsibility of updating some of my happenings in here. So here I am, typing words and allowing myself to speak my mind. I've been so overwhelmed with my multiply account that I have forgotten about my twisted sunshine.. I'm so sorry! =(

Anyway, let's start the sharing.
Uhhmmm.. wait..
where do I start?

First of all, I would like to officially announce that classes are already over. Final exams had been given, my brain had done all the wonders it can do and my pen had scribbled all the letters and words it can write...and I can say that I'm satisfied with how it was done. (except for our Computer Lecture of course = FLOWCHARTS!!) It's just so sad that during our last final exams day, two of my guy classmates was caught on the act of cheating. Sadly, they both failed the exams. That's the price they have to pay for the act they have done. The exam for our Speech class wasn't that difficult naman.. maybe they're both just too lazy to open their notes and study.

On that same day, our class even had our outing at Sta. Lucia in Bulacan. The sad part for me is that I wasn't able to join them. You know, hindi ako pinayagan... kasi ang layo ng place eh..Bulacan ba naman and swimming pa.. so I wasn't allowed.
At first, it was okei for me because some of my classmates didn't join them naman. We're on the same boat....
But when the very instant I saw their pictures, medyo ni-regret ko yung hindi ko pagsama. Ang saya kasi nila eh...plus ang ganda pa nung resort and yun na rin yung last day na magkakasama kami as a class. But it's okei...I can't do anything naman eh. If ever you want to see their pics, just visit my multiply account.. I've uploaded it on one of my albums even though I wasn't there. hehe!

As for our lenten season observation, my family had Bisita Iglesia yesterday where we prayed the Stations of the Cross. I really enjoyed doing this every holy week. Actually, this is what I'm looking forward to including the Easter Sunday celebration.

This summer, I'm planning to look for a summer job. Of course, I don't want to be a bum for my whole vacation... I want to do something productive, something useful. One friend of mine told me that there will be a summer job fair next Saturday near Robinsons Galleria and at SM Megamall. I really want to try! He said I just have to prepare a resume and some companies will be able to tell you on the spot if you're qualified or not.
Isn't that nice?
I'm not sure narin kasi if I'll still be a Student Assistant at UST this summer because they already recruited new ones. So I better move as early as now.
It will help me to gain experience on how to adopt to a new workplace especially that I'll have 2 more years to go before I graduate. 2 years had passed.... 2 more years will pass. Oh, I can't believe it!

So I guess, I'll stop here..

I just have so many pre-occupations and priorities. Studies, projects, - - - - - the list will go on and on.. But, don't worry.. my life as of now is La Dolce Vita! (inspired by my Speech class)
