...UAAP Season '69 Champions - UST!

After 10 years of eager waiting - - The UST tigresses team had finally got the title for the season '69 UAAP Championship for Women's Volleyball division!
Isn't that good news for this new year? UST had won another title... seems like you can't really beat the heart of the Champions.
But before anything else..I will share first what happened throughout the seaon for the benefit of those who were, unfortunately, haven't seen the entire volleyball games season due to some very important reasons.. out of the country perhaps?! (hehehe..wag ka ng mainip Joan..eto na yung post..) (.__"__.)

Since I'm a Basketball afficionado, I didnt care that much about other game events covered by UAAP like volleyball, swimming, softball, table tennis..etc. After I lose the hope of seeing UST Popkings in the final 4 for PBL I stopped watching local and collegiate game competitions and focused myself on watching international Tennis games especially when it was played by Roger Federer and Maria Sharapova.


But everything changed on that very lucky 10th day of January 2007 when I accidentally switched the channel of our television to Studio 23 just because I was bored of the long commercial endorsements shown on Star Sports TV.
and I saw this: THE UAAP SEASON '69 VOLLEYBALL GAMES STUDIO 23
I told myself... "Ui, meron palang ganito..wait lang..I'll see first about this and later on switch back to Star Sports.."
and the rest is history...!

..hehe joke lang. Of course, you know na what happened. I was stucked on Studio 23 for 3 hours because of watching the game. I was amazed on how ladies of my same age were able to strike the ball that hard to their opponents without even complaining how that act hurts on their arms. Seems like they're enjoying it pa.
How can they do that?..on my case when I'm playing volleyball, that hit will produce a swollen grayish spot on my arms that will stay on it for about 2 to 3 days.
Obviously, the explanation about that is soo simple..they Love playing volleyball that's why they can't feel the hurt it causes. Love can really do miracles...(^__^)

Anyways, back to my story. As far as I could remember, Adamson and National University players were having their game that day and they were great! (but of course UST is far better than them!) After a set ... the commentators showed the statistics of each team on how far they've reached since the start of the competition. I was shocked and surprised to see UST on rank 1. 8 wins and 0 loss for the 1st round of competition. Next to them was FEU with 7 wins and 1 loss followed by University of the East and Adamson University.

Since that day..I started to watch UAAP again every Wednesday and Sunday and I saw how the UST team played their games well. No wonder, why they were ranked as team no. 1 druing the 1st round. Well, each team has their own weakness din naman kaya during the 2nd round of competition, FEU defeated UST this time and also during the play-offs round where they ranked no. 1, second was UST.


That does'nt matter that much..what important is that our team was on the final 4 and had the twice to beat advantage.
Actually, the tigresses almost lost the chance to be on the Finals because of Adamson's well planned game. During their first encounter during the semi-finals, the tigresses lost against the lady falcons. Good thing they bounced back during the rubber match and defeated the other team. And now FEU and UST were on the Finals.
Unfortunately, I haven't seen the first of the best-of-three championship game because it happened during my birthday. Of course mas important naman sa akin yung birthday ko kaya I did'nt watch nalang. And besides, I'm confident that UST will win...
and my intuition never failed me.. (^__^)


The other team had their very disappointing loss that made their spirits really down. The sad thing is, they're carried their devastating loss upto the 2nd finals game together with their long and sad faces. How can you expect to win if your co-players were like that - - no energy at all.While on the other side, bubbly and confident players were listening to their coaches..expecting to have their 26th Volleyball Championship.

And..as expected! UST won! Since race to 2 wins ang policy ng UAAP, we're the Champions for Season'69 Women's Volleyball games after 10 years! It's the hunger of winning daw talaga that motivates each player to win the championship. It's the year of the tigers! Kahit sa Men's Baskteball, they waited for a decade and this season is the perfect season to show that UST can be still be champions! We really relived year 96 at season '69 for both Baskteball and Volleyball.

Well, eto lang talaga yun eh.. we're the lucky charms - - since freshmen kami sa UST and we became students this schoolyear..we brought luck to our team..hehe! (.__"__.)

CONGRATULATIONS to UST Tigresses team for winning the Season '69 UAAP Women's Volleyball games. You've shown great pride in each and every game and you deserve to win the title. Go Tigers.. Go USTe..go! go! go!!

...and now, we're on our way to the Over-all Championship title. It really feels great to be a Thomasian! (.__"__.) - The home of the Champions!

Happy Birthday to me! Happy Birthday to me! Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday, Happy 18th year to me!

Yup! You're eyes is'nt fooling you... you're reading the REAL thing! It's my birthday today and I'm 18 years old. Many told me that 18 is the climatic age for a teen-age girl like me, and now I'm on it. I do hope that this year will gonna be exciting and lots of good things will happen. I'm really thankful to God for giving me the best of 17 years of my life anf for blessing me another year to live and be a blessing to my loved and special ones. I promise, I'll give my best to make this year a good one.

Binati naman ako ng mga friends and family relatives ko. Thank You sa lahat ng mga wishes and to those who gave their effort to greet me at exactly 12:00mn. Thanks tlaga for remembering this special day.. (.__"__.)

I just came home from my party at Italianni's Restaurant. My party is just a simple one compared to that of a typical debut celebrated by girls of my same age. I prefer kasi to have a get together party with my close friends and my family, eat and have some fun. I didnt even imagine myself wearing gown or kaya may 18 candles and 18 roses. Ewan ko ba kung bakit..! I just wanted it to be simple yet very meaninful.

I enjoyed the party naman. The food tasted good, best Italian food I've ever tried. I enjoyed the company of my highschool and college friends. It feels good to be in between my 2 sets of bestfriends. Meron lang talaga akong na-miss... Friel, Dane and Joan. Syempre, mas masaya pag complete. I did received some gifts..and I liked them all a lot! At heto pa, may instant clown ako sa party..hehe! joke lang Medz.. Sobrang lively kasi ng party ko dahil sa presence ni Medalenee. Lahat natutuwa sa kanya and nag-enjoy akong katabi siya. Even my family enjoyed just looking at her..she looks cute kasi!.. (.__"__.)

I would like to extend my gratitude to: Medalene, Bea, Carisse, Lia, Christhal, Athena and Michelle for coming to my party. This day is really a very special one and I'm glad for all of you became a part of it.

And of course thanks to my Mom for always being there and for making this party very special!

In between College and Highschool

A time to face another chapter of my life. I've been through lots of challenges and experiences but I know that there's still a lot waiting for me. Lessons had been learned but still, I have to learn what Life is really all about. My Life is just beginning - - search and be complete...

. . . As were looking at a familiar white, beautiful building.. I reminded myself,
"Wait a minute, I know where this is! Finally, I'm back to my alma mater."
I missed this place a lot. it's like I'm back on my highschool years, same familiar faces and atmosphere but still, I'm wearing my white college uniform..and suddenly I thought..
" Oh yea, I'm here to visit as a graduate of this school."

Tama na nga mga senti moments. My friends visited DBS today para narin magkita-kita and makapagkwentuhan kasi since July we never had the chance to meet in our school because of our hectic and different schedules. At first kami muna ni Lia yung naunang pumunta and we'll gonna wait for others nalang. pagdating namin sa school, medyo nahihiya na naiilang kami kasi ang daming mga doubtful-eyed students sa campus. Lower year level students will stare at you in a "why are you here?"... or "ui..familiar face oh.." look.
Syempre, hindi rin naman namin sila masisisi kasi we've went through that stage. Graduate na kami sa ganyang attitude..hehe! Anyweiyz, that's just fine. It doesn't matter to me that much. I'm much older than them and I have the right to be there..plus.. I'm happy to be back. Pero sa totoo lang naghintay muna kami dun sa labas kasi dismissal time pa nila, nung naubos nlang sila saka kami pumasok. (.__"__.)

While were inside na, the Juniors and Seniors were having there Prom practice kasi sa Saturday na yung Prom Night. Ang aga nga eh nde katulad nung sa amin last year..March na! Since may practice sila, busy sina Sr. Mariel..huhu...nde tuloy namin sila nakausap or nakamusta man lang.

So nagkwentuhan kami dun sa loob. Na-touch nga ako sa mga friends ko lalo na kina Christhal and Athena. Binati na kasi nila ako agad ng Happy Birthday and may gift pa! Sa totoo lang, I forgot na nga na malapit na b-day ko during that day..sila pa yung nagpaalala. Sweet nila! Kahit si Aaron na Grade 6 na ngayon eh naremember pa na sa 18 na yung b-day ko. Ginreet pa ako ng "HAPPY BIRTHDAY ATE"..with that low, very low voice. Haaaai...ang dating mga kids, nagiging teens na! Bilis talaga ng panahon..
Meron pang isang nakakatawang moment. There was this boy in 1st yr. highschool asking a Love Advice from me! Imagine... eh kung ako nga confused with my love life, makapagbigay pa kaya ako ng maayos na advice?!
Ui, joke lang hah..hehe..=p Since happy naman ako sa life ko I gave my friend a healthy advice. Nde naman ganong ka-nose bleeding yung situation niya..ang simple nga lang kaya nde mahirap sabihan..hehe! He listened to me naman kasi maayos ko siyang kinausap.
Shucks..I'm such a good ate! Sana may younger brother or sister nlang ako so that I can share my talent as an advicer. I'm on the mood rin kasi kaya nakapagbigay ako nice advice. After ng aming session, may isa pang nagrequest. Hmmmm..masyado ng low ang aking talent fee sa kanila..libre toh eh..kaya nde na ako pumayag! (>^__^<) And besides gabi narin..6:10pm na and I have to go home.

Before we parted ways with Lia and Christhal, ininvite ko na sila sa aking birthday bash sa February 18 (sunday). As what I've expected, sobrang na-excite sila sa news.

While I was on my way home, I thought about my birthday. I'm turning 18 soon..3 days to go...Oh my! February 18 - 18 years old - fell on a Sunday - Kung Hei Fat Choi - This year must be great!

It's February 15..a day after Valentine's Day. This day seems to be fine. I've got some plans to do together with my highschool friends today. Finally, after some re-sheduling and cancelations - - we finally agreed that today is the lucky day to visit our beloved alma mater. July pa yung last time na visit ko dun...sooper miss ko na nga DBS especially my friends at the lower levels and yung mga FMA sisters.
For sure, nothing has changed.

Pero, bago kami pumunta dun..syempre, kwento ko muna sa inyo yung mga happenings namin today at UST. Adventurous ulit ang day na toh. (.__"__.)

After our classes, we're on our usual state..tired and groggy from today's lessons. We have to eat a lot in order to be back on our normal status. Since masyado akong curious sa mga things around me..paglabas ko ng building namin, tumingin-tingin ako sa paligid kasi bka there's something new or baka meron akong makitang friend. (yieee, sino kya yun?!)
Anyweiyz, pagtingin ko dun sa may Tan-Yankee Building..merong booth ng Cetaphil sa harap. I'm not a Cetaphil fan because I'm using Ponds..but that doesn't matter! They're giving some free products and we have to get our hands on it...hehe! Merong wire game dun but I didnt get the prize kasi medyo pasmado yung hands ko kya nung nag-try ako..nagbuzz tuloy agad which means, talo na ako..better luck next time.
Meron pang free pic..ang cute nga ng kuha eh. Mga pang-beauty product endorser na kami. Sayang nga lang nde ko pa napascan..pero maganda tlga yung shot..trust me! =P
Pero, before we get our printed pics..we have to wait pa daw ng mga 2:00pm and magpa-derma consultation...prang freebies yung picture, so okei lang. At least meron pang free consultation, though hindi na namin yung masyado kelangan..(.__"__.)

While we're waiting..kumain na muna kami. 1:00pm palang nung mga oras na yun kaya naglakad-lakad muna kami. Pagturn right namin dun sa may Quadricentennial Park..nakita ko pa si Dylan. At eto yung funny part dito: Nung nakita ko kasi si Dylan, medyo malayo pa siya and may kasama siyang girl. Pinagkamalan ko pa nga girlfriend niya eh..pero hindi pla. Sobrang maling akala..hehe! Nung medyo malapit na yung distance, naunang maglakad sina Dane and Medalene--I'm on my own..bahala na!
Nung sobrang lapit na sila akala ko babatiin nina Dane and Medz si Dylan kasi yung yung usual na ginagawa namin..sobrang nagulat ako kasi hindi nila nag-Hi. (Dane, Medz..kayo ba yan?) Tapos nung pagtapat niya sa akn..naka-smile na siya..tapos nag-Hi agad. Isa lang meaning nito--ako lang pala yung kilala ni Dylan. hehe..joke lang! Siguro ako lang tlga yung familiar face for him..mas friendly daw kasi ako..hehe..(>__"__<)
At eto yung reason kung bakit hindi nila binati: Hindi daw kasi nakatingin sa kanila..kaya parang nakakahiya pag mag-Hi ka nlang bigla out of nowhere. (well, may point din naman sila..nakakahiya rin yun..) Well..ganon talaga eh...

I remember noon..sobrang dinadaanan lang namin si Dylan..wala lang..simple basketball player ng UST na pinapanood ko..na favorite ko rin. Pero now, friends na kami. Naka-smile na agad pag nakakasalubong mo sa mga parks. Sayang nga wala si Joan eh..para na-eenjoy niya rin yung friendship since sabay naming kinakausap si Dylan last year. Di bale Joan, bawi ka nlang pagbalik mo..pakilala ulit kita...hehe. Nakalimutan ka na yta eh.. =D

After noon, umupo muna kami doon sa malapit sa Highschool pay-high building. Fair rin kasi nila kaya enjoy magstay..tapos dumaan naman yung crush ni Dane na si Justine. Usap-usap muna sila..tapos tuwang-tuwa si Dane..kaya meron kaming Post-Valentine's Day celebration.. =)

We decided to go to the Cetaphil booth para makapag free consultation na so that my friends can go home na and I can visit DBS na. Medyo mabilis lang naman yung consultation sa akin kasi wala namang masyadong problem yung face ko..hehe.. black heads lang daw tlga kaya parang binigyan niya ako ng free cream na I have to apply on my nose every night. Thanks doc!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi friends...Happy Valentine's Day. Hope you had a very romantic and meanigful celebration with your loved and special ones.

Me..I had a nice one. I celebrated it with my bestfriends at school and with my Mom.
Yup..i made my day exclusively for them and we enjoyed a lot naman. Since my Mom isnt at home yet after our classes..nagstay muna kami nina Dane and Medalene sa school. We indulged ourselves with the quarter roast chicken meal we ate at a restaurant located in the mini shopping mall inside UST. Syempre, nagutom kami eh..hehe..hirap kasi ng lessons namin kanina. Kahit na teacher's day ngayon..nagclass parin yung ibang professors and may quiz pa kami sa Accounting and Math of Investments.

Bago ko malimutan..i gave a white rose to my Mom. (ang sweet ko noh?!) That's how much I love my Mom. I'm such a sweet daughter.. =D

Pre-Com week Parade

It's the start of the week..but I had a grand start today. I woke up at around 4:50am and I went to school not on my white uniform...I'm wearing a black blouse, a black pants and a white rubber shoes. At school, most of the Pre-com students were on a rush. So what's the commotion all about?

It's the start of the Pre-Com week here at UST. All the 1st years and 2nd year students of the Precom Society will enjoy a week-filled activities from Feb. 5 to Feb. 10, 2007 and for today we had the Precom Parade. Each class were required to choose a movie theme by the Precom Society officers (haaay..isa pala ako dun sa mga officers noh?) and for our class, our movie theme is "Blade"..

Sounds exciting isn't it? hehe..that's the reason why I'm wearing all black..kasi I'm one of the vampires..hehe.. I'm not at ease nga at first kasi I don't want to act as a vampire..feeling ko kasi malayo sa image ko at sa face ko..(really??) pero my friend Medalene insisted na yun na lang yung part naming tatlo nina Dane kaya pumayag na rin ako. Mas challenging din kasi rather than be an ordinary person..hehe..try something new!

Pagdating ko sa classroom..medyo nagkakagulo na yung mga classmates ko. Some were busy on their costumes while others are prepairing to look like a vampire through make-up. I also bought with me a red lipstick and a super dark black eyeliner so that I can belong with them. After some finishing touches..

The sad thing is, parang wala lang yung parade. I mean, we just walked around the campus under the heat of the sun..muntik na nga kaming magmelt eh..hehe.. kasi nde namin napakita yung dapat naming i-act na related sa movie theme namin. We planned to act in front of the judges kaya lang we didnt saw them..they're hiding..nde nagpapahalata..kaya wala lang..naglakad lang kami. Nasayang nga yung effort namin eh..huhu..='(

We heard that the prize will involve P10,000 worth of prizes kaya we prepared well..pero I think we can't bring home the bacon..haaay!

The good thing is, I enjoyed naman..kahit na I'm exhausted. I just don't like the way how my other classmates asked me about the activities for the next days. They're asking me on a sarcastic way like...

"Ano, gagawin bukas... bakit nde niyo alam..diba Pre-Com officers kayo"

(together with that look on the face...GrrrrRRRR!!!)

..kakainis talaga..even dane and medalene were asked on the same manner. It's as if they want the answers right away. If they only know how hard it is to be an officer especially when the head officers of your organization are... - - - - - - - -

they don't have schedules kasi..pabago-bago pa ang lahat. If only I'll be given a chance to have a position next year..I'll see to it that our decisions will be firm and sana okei din yung magiging president kasi all things will depend on him or her.

That's it.. I hope na makuha na yung Pre-Com shirt namin by tomorrow. I want my t-shirt na..I paid for that some weeks ako and still wala parin..haaaaay!

Maybe, they'll give the t-shirts to us on the last day, Feb 10..or maybe on Feb 12..

yup..I know.. Patience is a virtue..
