lucky...or unlucky?? Decide... (.^__^.)

I don't know if I'll be happy with my day today or not.
My day goes like this....

I went to school at around 9:00am. We don't have classes today because our professors will go to the "Dangal ng UST" awarding ceremony at the Medicine Auditiorium, but I still have to go to UST because of Pre-Com Society... I have to wear my uniform pa so that I can enter our building premises... strict kasi yung guard sa Commerce.

Nandun kasi sina Dane and Medz.... Dun ako sa Science and Technology para mag-internet. Close pa kasi yung orgroom and mezzanine..wala pa kasi si Mam Puno, syempre nandun pa sa Medicine Auditorium for the "gurang award" (yun yung sabi nung iba..super mean eh, noh!) I saw Dane naman and ginagawa na nya yung mga questions for Masterminds. For me, I have to do some letters.. especially the super due letter addressed to Yellow Jackets. We need a drum and an assigned drummer for the day of the parade.

Naka-1 hour na kasi akong gumagamit ng internet..eh maraming naghihintay for their turn. Actually, that's the policy..so with a heavy heart (hindi ko pa kasi tapos basahin yung nasa forum ng rogerfederer.com) I left and went to the Internet Station sa ground floor. 10:00am palang...11:00am pa ako kailangan for Pre-Com...enjoy muna, pwede? Hindi ko na nakita si Dane..she left 30 minutes before I left so for sure she's somewhere na may internet connection din sa library. Maybe sa Filipiniana or sa Religion section. I didnt dare to look for her..ang laki kasi ng Central Library..text-text nalang.

After 1 hour again, I'm contented with my surfing and left the Central Library...I went straight to our headquarters ( Mezzanine ) and saw Dane, Medz and other officers preparing the tarpaulins that we need to post along the 3rd and 4th floor lobby. There's a commotion going on when I arrived..pinagtatawan kasi nung iba yung slogan na ginawa ni Mam Puno para sa Photo Exhibit. Yung original kasi is Snap!! Shoot!! Ang Cute!..tapos yung ginawa ni Mam Puno is I-shoot Mo!, Ang Cute Oh!!. You know naman...boys got some dirty mind so parang may meaning sa kanila yung slogan.

It's alright naman...mga harmless naman sila eh and we treat one another as brothers and sisters. No need to worry... =)

Today, naglakad ako ng letter for the Security Office. This is for suggesting security for the Pre-Com parade. Syempre, we need that security so that safe kami na magpaparade within the campus. Pero before I can give the letter to Mr. Clemente Dingayan (he is the one in-charge for security purposes) I have to undergo a LOT of pressure. First, mali yung letter na unang ginawa..I think si Mon yung gumawa nung letter na yun way back nung officer pa siya. That's my job! Walang date or time. So I have to edit it sa computer shop. And, take note, I'll be using my own money for it. Actually nag-offer na si Sir Nuevo na sa office na lang niya gawin yung letter..kaya lang medyo nahihiya ako kasi I know marami pa siyang work na kailangang tapusin as the head of Pre-Com department so I decided na sa Netopia ko nalang gawin. My work is worth only 7.00. Oh, affordable na rin diba? Plus 5.00 for printing. OKei na rin. P12.00 won't hurt me that much.. (.^__^.)

When I went back to our headquarters, I found out na may wrong information na nabigay si Mam Puno.. Sabi niya kasi at first 8:00 - 9:00am, yung parade...tapos binago na pla and it was moved to 10:00 to 11:00am. ggggRRR!!! Lumipad na yung 12.00 ko. I have to change the letter again..huhuhu! Wala pa namang laptop na available dun sa Mezzanine..so I decided na i-grab ko na yung help na ino-offer ni Sir Nuevo. Kahit na medyo nakakahiya..okei lang. I've got not choice eh. Buti nalang mabait si Sir sa mga Pre-Com officers..Anyway, I paid 5.00 for the printing nalang.

PhotobucketIt's time to go to the Security office!! Time Check: 3:30pm
So, yun..kwentuhan muna kami sa loob.
Paglabas namin...nakita niya yung running President sa party nila (Lakas-Diwa) for student council. Short for Junimar.. (.^__^.) Siya rin pla yung Mr. JCBA (Junior Chanber of Business Admnitration) sa pageant this year.
Something like: "Ui, nikko! Ikaw hah... Hmmmm..Sino yan?!" Just funny...nye! kakatawa talaga.

After na-approve yung letter.
Alam niya kayang nadoon ako?? hmmmmm... or talagang lagi lang siyang nakasmile..hehe!

Anyway, that time kasama namin si Glendz, friend ni nikko na 1st year. So, nung nakita niya si Dylan.., medyo embarrassing mang sabihin, hinabol niya siya and tinanong kung pwede bang magpa-picture.
Who do you think will take the picture?? And besides, phone yun ni Glendz so wala akong masyadong right na maglagay ng pic ko dun.. but then, may exciting na nangyari...
He's referring to me... After marining ko yun, nabuhayan ako ng dugo! Imagine, gusto niya may picture din kami...ehehe.. sweet.. (.^__^.) So yun, smile-smile sa camfone. Yung head nga ni dylan malapit na sa face ko eh.. he needs to lower down his head para makita siya sa picture. You know naman, hindi ako ganong katangkad. After ng picture session, nag-bye na siya. Sabi ko naman..Thanks Dylan! (.^__^.) (.^__^.) Photobucket

After ng moment na yun, nalaman na namin kung saan sila nag-emergency meeting with Sir Nuevo. Sa Room 415 pala. As usual, pinag-usapan na naman kung matutuloy pa ba yung Pre-Com Night or hindi na. Upto now wala pa rin kaming final decision if we will push through with it. We will base it sa ticket sales.

Time Chech: 5:00pm.
We really need to go home. 6:00pm na ako niyan makakauwi..for sure may traffic jam na.
Pagbaba namin, we're waiting for Mam Puno to open the mezzanine room. Remember, ni-lock nila diba? After some minutes of waiting, nalaman na lang namin na umuwi na pla siya. What???
Pano yung gamit ko? I will never go home without my things. Yun pala, umuwi siya kasi may it's a girl thing na nangyari sa kanya. Photobucket5:30pm na, wala pa rin si Mam Puno. When she arrived, she changed her clothes na. Now I know, what happened. hehe!

After all that had happened, 6:00pm na kami nakauwi. At least sabay naman kami nina medz and nikko, kaya okei lang.
Haaai.. I have a feeling that I'll be like this upto February 9...
But even if it's like that..I'm still enjoying a lot. Seldom lang kasi mangyari yung ganito.. =)

Pre-Com week posters

We don't have classes yesterday..It's the feast day of St. Thomas Aquinas, the patron saint of University of Santo Tomas. When I was in my elementary and highschool years St. John Bosco, the patron saint of Don Bosco Manila, celebrates his feast day every January 31. So, hindi rin pala nalalayo yung mga feast day ng patron saints ng schools ko... (.^__^.)

Anyway, today we're back to school after our long weekend. I didn't come to school last Saturday even though we have regular classes. I have to attend a wedding of my cousin kasi so hindi nalang ako pumasok...hehe! And besides we don't have any scheduled quiz on that day..puro discussions lang so okei na mag-absent na muna.

I won't discuss anything about my classes or lessons today.
I'm going to share to you the posters made by one of my co-officer, Patrick. He did a good job and the posters look really nice. Here's the coverage of our Pre-Com week.
Pre-Com Celebration: Pre-Com parade with our theme that goes something like this: Pre-Com students ready for the Corporate World. Each class must have 2 representatives, a boy and a girl, who will wear their corporate attire. The whole class must also decide what product they will endorse. Cash prize for the best class will be given. I think it's P3,000.00 for the best and stand-out class.
For our General Convocation our Guest Speaker will be Mr. Anthony Pangilinan, the brother of the senator, Kiko Pangilinan. I'm not sure but I think Anthony Pangilinan is one of the big bosses at PLDT and SMART Corporation. I'm gonna check it again tomorrow. P5,000.00.

Same as last year. This Pre-Com Photo Exhibit is open for all Pre-Com Students without Registration Fee. Last year meron pang registration fee kaya konti lang yung nakapagpass ng pictures. Pero nabawi rin naman kasi i think binabaan na yung fee during the last day of submission of pictures. This year we decided not to have a registration fee so that marami ang magpasok ng entries. We'll be giving out prizes for the top 3 best pictures. P3,000.00 for the grand prize. Kaya lang we're not allowed. We will serve as the judges kasi eh. Sayang! Ma-picture pa naman kami.. hehe.

This is the project of Dane. Last year sumali kami nina Dane and Medz sa quiz bee na to during the elimination round and we're eliminated. So now, bumawi kami and hinirapan lalo namin yung mga questions. I was assigned to do the questions for Science... and I think nung nacheckan na yung test answers nila...maraming hindi nakasagot ng tama...hahahaha!!! Now I know how the professors feel kapag hindi nakakasagot ng ayos yung mga students nila. (.^__^.) If you can only see there fixed and and curved foreheads... Super Mind Boggling ang Masterminds quiz bee ngayong year.
There's some typographical error in here. Just locate somewhere. There's a wrong spelling. Inaantok na daw kasi si Pat nung ginawa niya to. Pinarush daw kasi ito ni Mam Puno.
Anyway, this Career Orientation is a guide for us to choose our majors next year. As for me, I'm determined to take up Marketing as my major but I'm still ex
cited to see how the different Department heads will promote their respective majors.
This project was given for the staffers and junior officers of our org. Through this, they can prove to us that they are worthy for the positions that we will be giving to them for the next year's set of Pre-Com officers. This is only for the Freshman students that why it's called 100% Fresh Variety Show and it will be held on the 4th floor lobby of our building. I think they're having a hard time looking for performers for this show that's why they required each class to send in some representatives and they'll have an audition where we can choose from them who will perform at the said event. This will happen on February 9, 2007 , same time and day for our STEP-UP career orientation.THE PRE-COM NIGHT.
This is something new. It's a new event because we don't have like this last year. OKei...new event = lots of pressure. And yung talagang nag-eencourage pa sa amin na ituloy to is Mr. Elenzano. Actually, tinatakot na niya yung ibang 1st year na handle niya na bumili ng tickets for this event. Eh ang usapan, bibili lang yung may gusto..not to the point na you'll threat them. Kaya we're having 2nd thoughts if we will push through this one. Kahit kami tinatakot na rin...
For me, okei lang na matuloy to..if gusto nila..eh di go! Yun nga lang, ubos ang money ng Pre-Com just for ONE NIGHT. 200,000 plus pa ang money namin as of now..sayang lang talaga if we will spend it just for a night of party.
Actually this one is not a concert party..It's a dinner dance party so nahihirapan din kami humanap ng bands na magpeperform. Our plan is supposed to be MYMP kaya lang hindi namin handle ang talent fee nila. 50,000 ang bayad for them...sila lang yun hah! (.^__^.)
And then, madami pang problems... yung food, stage, venue, participants...haaaaii! Kaya we're still undecided.

Let's just hope and pray na maging successful ang week na to. This is what we're all been waiting for.. (.^__^.)

...on the brighter side...

Here is a very uplifting take on the match. And Novak's mum really needs to learn to tone things down a bit!!

Confidence Game by TOM PERROTTA on tennis.com

When you open your newspapers this morning, you'll undoubtedly read about the end of the Federer era, which allegedly passed before our eyes in three sets Friday evening, all of them won by Novak Djokovic, 7-5, 6-3, 7-6(5).

The match, if you haven't seen it,
wasn't complicated or ever in doubt. Djokovic didn't play his best except for a stretch in the second set, but he was steady and smart throughout. He moved well. He was firm on important points; in the second set, he hit a backhand around the net post on break point for a 3-1 lead. But the fact that Federer didn't move well was the most noticeable element of the match. The man who usually glides, sometimes so quickly that the ball and his opponent look frozen in time, was a step slower than usual, and so came the forehand errors and the missed chances, none more significant than a 0-40 break opportunity in the second game of the third set. Djokovic kept his nerve and served beautifully. Against most players, Federer can win when he's not at his best. Djokovic is no longer one of those players.

The ins and outs of this particular match don't interest me too much, however. The bigger question is,
"Should you believe what you read" about the Federer Era? Are those shocking headlines correct? Dijana Djokovic, Novak's mother, hopes so.

"He has been no. 1 for four years, with all respect, and now there are young kids, Novak, Murray, Tsonga," she said as she and her husband, Srdjan, soaked up the moment in the player's restaurant. "So it's time for change. We came here to win this tournament. I think if Novak is playing how he can play, it will be easy--not easy, I can't say easy, but he will win."

Confidence runs strong in the Djokovic family and in tennis, we all know, confidence is a must. This boy has believed since he was a child and hasn't been shy about telling us all about it the past few years. Still, I'd argue that
the above words are more a mother's pride (and well-earned pride at that) than the truth of the matter. Rather than signifying something earth shattering, Djokovic's win tonight highlighted something that would have been the case even if Federer had won this tournament. We are now in the third stage of Federer's career, if for no other reason than his age (he'll be 27 in August). He's gone from a wildly talented teenager who couldn't figure out how to win an important title, to the most dominant champion the sport has ever known, to a champion who now must beat back a number of talented players who are not afraid of him. Will he win more majors? Of course. More intelligent, I think, to ask, "How many more?"

Federer has set the bar impossibly high the last five years. He has won 12 major titles. He hasn't lost before the semifinals in a major since the 2004 French Open, which was also the last time he lost in straight sets in a major. Before tonight, he had won 34 consecutive semifinal matches (all tournaments). He had reached the final of 10 consecutive majors, breaking Jack Crawford's 1933-34 record by four. Last year he won three majors and lost nine matches--a better year than Pete Sampras ever had in his career--and people talked as if Federer had come down a level. I could go on and on into the night about the absurdity of his accomplishments and how those accomplishments are viewed, typing until my fingers go numb or bleed, but like any good journalist, I'm obligated to make it back to the bar before last call.

Federer has said in the past that he didn't expect to keep up this pace, but for the first time
that I can recall, he described his feats--the enormity of his accomplishments--as a burden of sorts.

"I'll definitely reflect on what happened," he said. "You know, I mean, considering, you know, my illness, I'm sort of happy with the result here. Of course, I've created a monster, so I know I need to always win every tournament."

He continued: "Well, winning every other week, you know, lose a set and people say I'm playing bad. So it's my own mistake, I guess."

Obviously, Federer is aware of his place in history and the chance he has to put everyone else who has ever played this game behind him. I haven’t heard him talk about the pressures involved in that challenge--the pressures of being Roger Federer--in this way.

This loss was important in another way: it's the first time something out of Federer's control has impeded him at a major event. He has remained remarkably healthy over the years, largely because of hard work. This year, however, he caught a stomach virus before the tournament began. I didn't think he had suffered any long term effects from that illness--and the hiccup in his preparation--until the last two matches, against Tomas Berdych and James Blake. Federer didn't move as well as he usually does. Arnaud Boetsch, the former French pro who sat in Federer's box tonight, said the virus had taken its toll.

"I just arrived a few days ago but against James Blake, already I felt that he was a bit behind the ball, he was not moving so fast, forehand is always a bit late," Boetsch said. "And today it was, I don't want to say worse, but you can see it because Djokovic is really on the ball, is a fighter, is a control player. Usually [Federer] is flying on the court. Remember when he won the U.S. Open or this kind of event? He's just flying, he's everywhere."

Federer didn't take flight tonight. But I'm guessing it won't be long before he does again. Until then, applaud the first first-time Grand Slam title winner--either Djokovic or Jo-Wilfried Tsonga--since Rafael Nadal won his first French Open in 2004.

**a very uplifting work written by a very concerned journalist. At least, there's someone left with insights like this..** (.^__^.)

Roger Federer Interview

I know this is a bit sad but I'll share to you Roger's interview after the match.
Q. What made the difference, Roger?

ROGER FEDERER: Well, it was a tough match, I thought. You know, a lot of ups and downs, like the usual matches we have actually against each other. It always comes and goes.

But I think he made the more important points today. It was a bit unfortunate for me, but he did play well and served really well when he had to.

Q. He played very well, obviously. But do you think your standard was as high as it always has been?

ROGER FEDERER: Well, look, I told you, it depends a lot on day form. You can't always, you know, play your best or, you know, the opponent doesn't always play the same way either.

There's no doubt I've played better in my life. That's for sure, you know. I've not been really serving like the way I wanted to, you know, maybe the last few matches. But maybe served too many aces against Tipsarevic, so I didn't have any more left (smiling).
(huhu... even though he lost..he still managed to give a hearty, funny joke!)

Look, it happens. But he covered the court well. He didn't give me much. So that obviously played a role in the way I played tonight. But, you know, I wasn't completely satisfied.

Q. Was it more difficult playing him in the semifinal than in the final?

ROGER FEDERER: First round or finals, it doesn't really matter, to be honest. I have no preference or whatever. But he's come through the draw convincingly. He's been playing very solid. He had a tough draw, you know, if I compare it to maybe Rafa's. So he absolutely deserves to be in the final.

Q. Do you think he'll go on and win the final now?

ROGER FEDERER: I don't care really.
(he still haven't recovered from the shocking defeat...what do you expect? This interview happened 15 minutes after the match!)

Q. Do you feel you were moving as well as you usually do?

ROGER FEDERER: No, I don't. I didn't think I was moving that great, you know. I think I played really well the first two matches, you know, in terms of movement also. You know, I don't know if the surface got a bit quicker.

I definitely wasn't as good on the defensive like I usually am. I couldn't come up with the passing shot when I needed to. Yeah, that definitely hurt me, especially today.

Q. Do you put it down to anything tonight, or is it just one of those nights, as you say?

ROGER FEDERER: No, I mean, look, I've had 15 minutes to reflect on the match, so I can't tell you much yet.

But there's some sort of a disappointment. But, you know, from the spirit, the way I fought, the way I tried, it's all I could give, you know. When you give a hundred percent, you know, you're sort of happy with your performance. It can't always go your way. I know that.

I've won, many, many times when I didn't expect myself to win. So tonight's one of those nights where you're a little bit disappointed. But it's going to go over and I'm going to look forward to the rest of the year.

Q. Can you measure his improvement at all? Has he improved that much?

ROGER FEDERER: No, I think he's played pretty much the same, you know, for the last let's say nine months or so, or last year. He's had a good start to the year, as well.

Yeah, it comes down to a few points here and there. That's what I told you beforehand, so that's what happened today.

Q. You were one break up in the first set. That was probably the moment when you should have...

ROGER FEDERER: Well, we all know if I would have served it out the match would have been a bit different. Sure, he could have come back and still beaten me, but circumstances of would have been different. He wouldn't have played that freely in the second set. He usually doesn't play that well.

That was unfortunate for me. You know, I paid the price twice, not only losing the set, but also the second set. You know, I missed many opportunities the third set.
(in this case..opportunity comes once.. better make the most out of it. sayang!)
But, like I said, he came up with some great shots, some great serves, and, you know, saved himself that way.

Q. Do you look back now and think about the preparation a couple weeks ago and the illness? Was that having a lingering effect at all on your game throughout this tournament?

ROGER FEDERER: Look, I don't know, seriously. I'll definitely reflect on what happened. You know, I mean, considering, you know, my illness, I'm sort of happy with the result here.

Of course, I've created a monster, so I know I need to always win every tournament. But semis is still, you know, pretty good. But, yeah, I'll analyze and see if I have to make changes for next year. But, honestly, I think I did play pretty good.
(do you know what's that monster he's talking about? The monster are those people who keep on expecting that he'll be at the finals of every tournament...that's really hard to beat!)

I didn't play my best throughout the championships, but it was pretty solid, so it was okay.

Q. You don't really feel like you've created a monster, do you?
ROGER FEDERER: Well, some sort of, yeah.

Q. Can you elaborate on that?
ROGER FEDERER: Well, winning every other week, you know, lose a set and people say I'm playing bad. So it's my own mistake, I guess.
(see....)

Q. Do you need to be able to shut that out more?
ROGER FEDERER: Not at all, no. I got used to it by now.

Q. Justine said after her loss to Sharapova that she suffered from the pressure of being unbeatable for such a long time and people always expecting her to win. Is that something you sometimes experience?
(Justine Henin is the no.1 tennis player for womens division. So the top players from each category were defeated..even at the doubles team, the Brian brothers.. ang saklap naman!)

ROGER FEDERER: I experienced it maybe going into Indian Wells last year. I think it was an incredible streak then, 40 something wins. Everybody was talking about the Vilas streak.

I don't know if that put me under pressure. But it's not easy coming out every week for sure trying to win. But you'll always run into fellow top 10 players or other guys who are on a streak or on a hot run or surprise you. That's the difficulty about tennis, you know.

I've had it for a long, long time, you know. I've had to deal with all sort of different streaks. I didn't feel particular pressure at all tonight, no.

Q. Do you think if you were a little slower than usual, as you say, it could be because of the virus you had or the preparation coming in?
ROGER FEDERER: Well, obviously the approach has been unique this year, you know. It's the first time I've been ill before a Grand Slam. I would still rather have it before than during, that's for sure.

But maybe it did have. I answered the question already before. It might have had an effect on my movement, I don't know. But I definitely didn't feel as quick, you know, as some other times. I practiced really hard. I can't practice much harder in the off‑season, you know, so I did everything the right way. And maybe I did pay the price for being a little bit ill.

You know, I like to give credit to my opponent, as well. I don't want to blame it too much on my own play. He came up with the shots at the right time, and that's all I can say really.

Q. Will you watch the final?
ROGER FEDERER: I don't know if I'm here, so we'll see.
(if I were him..I'll watch it so that I can see how to defeat Novak Djokovic next match..hahaha! Payback time..)

Q. If you're away, will you try and find it on a television station somewhere?
ROGER FEDERER: No, I won't.

Q. Did you feel during the match that there might be a moment you would seize control, or did you always feel you were playing catch‑up after the first set?
ROGER FEDERER: Well, like I said, the second set he started just unloading. You know, that's not usually what he does. He can, obviously, and play aggressive. But, you know, not on every shot. The way he played, he picked up every serve.

It was fantastic, you know. He did play great.

Like I said, it cost me the match, maybe not serving it out the first set. That's what happens sometimes when you don't take your chances early on: you'll pay the price later on. That's what happened for me against Tipsarevic almost. I just got out of that one.

Definitely didn't play my best on big points. That's been sort of something that's stuck with me throughout the championships maybe. But, look, it happens. I've done it so many times it went my way. It's okay. Unfortunately it goes the other way, too, sometimes.

Roger Federer is just so humble. After reading this interview... it's as if the one answering is not the best in the world. Giving credit to the one who deserves it is really touchy. Roger Federer is really the best!

This is the moment of truth.. Reality check?

ROGER FEDERER LOST AT THE SEMIFINALS OF THE AUSTRALIAN OPEN 08 AGAINST NOVAK DJOKOVIC

It's just so hard to accept when you're an avid fan, isn't it? I saw that game but only the 3rd set. Actually Roger lost at straight sets! Unbelievable...
After I saw the game, I cried...but with no tears. I expected to see Roger again at the finals and even holding the trophy for this grand slam.

To be honest, I actually saw it coming...Federer losing to Djokovic. I mean, Novak has been playing so well throughout the tournament..without dropping a set. Without dropping a set means he won all 3 sets every game of his match. From First Round to Semifinals. For Roger Federer..he dropped some sets and he's almost at a near death experience during a match with Tipsarevic at the Third Round.

There's some even bad news that say: IT'S THE END OF FEDERER ERA.

That's so foolish. Just because he's not at a grand slam final means that it's the end of his career? That's a fallacy! Well all players experience defeat, isn't it? They're just so rude when it comes to Roger. They always expect the man to win and when he lose...he's no longer a good tennis player. If I'm at the place of the best tennis player in the world..that'll hurt me. Anyway, some say Roger underestimated Novak and thought that he's still the same player he'd seen last year..Unfortunately, it's a different Djokovic and he might be a threat to his ranking and career. Better watch out for him, Roger!

From my previous blog post, I think I mentioned that my 2nd favorite tennis player is Novak Djokovic. I'm taking it back not because he defeated my fave player but because he got this uncharacteristic attitude. In tagalog.. mayabang!! I'll post some proofs about that during his interview. I didn't expect such reaction from him..I thought he's a nice person and everything. First Impression never last. (having grudges??)

Once in a while, I'm logging-in at rogerfederer.com to read some posts and reaction at the forum part. Photobucket I'm posting some of my reactions there too and you know what? Lots of people can't accept that he lost and are worried about what will happen next on Dubai Masters tournament that will happen in March. As for me, I still believe that Roger will bounce back and will still have his no. 1 rank.Photobucket

But if in case he continue to have a losing streak.. ( oh no!) it's alright! I'm still his fan... (.^__^.) But I'm pretty confident that he will play well again... he's just sick recently because of a stomach virus. I think that affected his way of playing. But after that...you'll see. ( I hope!)

ATP - ROGER'S FINALS RUN STOPPED

Roger has been defeated in straight sets in the semifinal of the Australian Open. His opponent, Novak Djokovic, came back from 3-5 in the first set to win the match at 7-5, 6-3, 7-6 (7-5).

Novak Djokovic was simply too strong, too steady. Where Roger inched past him in the last grand slam final - the U.S. Open last September - this time the Serb was always a nose ahead. "I think he made the more important points today, it was a bit unfortunate for me," Roger commented. "It depends a lot on form, you can't always play your best. It's not easy coming out every week trying to win. You'll always run into fellow top-10 players or other guys who are on a streak or on a hot run or surprise you."
Roger added he was far from his best in the Rod Laver Arena, but said he gave everything he had to try and get back into the match."There's some sort of a disappointment. But from the spirit, the way I fought, the way I tried, it's all I could give," he said.
This defeat was Roger's first in straight sets at a grand slam since he lost to Gustavo Kuerten in the 2004 French Open. The holder of 12 grand slam crowns, his chase of Pete Sampras's record 14 is now on ice until the 2008 French Open begins in May.

Speaking of I need a bit more inspiration yesterday....
Someone made my day bright today!
With all the hustles and bustles of my life just recently...as in.. super ngarag na ako sa dami ng ginagawa.

The story goes like this:
Late this afternoon, as usual I'm at the organization room. Actually, that time nakatambay lang kami sa loob. Making most of our free time to chat with my friends. And we're waiting din yata for nikko.. He's not allowed na kasi to stay inside na organization room because he resigned already. I think it's not allowed by the council.

And then nung nakita na namin si nikko sa labas ng orgroom..tinawag niya agad ako.. Hhhmmm..I thought may papautos siya eh... Hey! Hindi ka na president...take note! haha. So yun nga..nung lumapit ako sabi niya sa akin.. Marielle..si papa dylan!
Syempre ako naman super excited. When was the last I saw that person? As far as I can remember... last year pa... October to be exact.

The sad part is, nakita ko lang yung likod niya.. =( Nakatalikod kasi sila ni Mirza eh. Palabas na ng building. At least alam ko na student pa pala siya sa UST and nakabalik na rin pala siya from US. Sabi kasi nung iba nandun daw siya to visit his Mother. So kahit likod..okei na..(.^__^.)

And then after namin kumain..nagmamadali na kami kasi Computer Lab class namin ng 12:00nn.

Pag labas namin ng orgroom...it's my lucky day!
I don't know.
So, what do you think will happen?

Baka sabihin niya..

What happened next?
Hhhhmmm... that time nakatungo pa ako..I'm looking for the right time na mag-Hi. I'm just being fair. hehe. Tapos may professor pang kasama.

After nung moment na yun.. I was shocked, speechless and happy.. Shocked and speechless kasi nareremember pa pala niya ako after ilang months na hindi ko siya nakikita. Syempre, with all the people na kumakausap and nagha-Hi din sa kanya..hindi malabo na ma-mixed-up na niya yung mga tao and maforget yung iba. And then happy kasi...inspired ako! Yehey.. may motivation para makapagtrabaho and makapag-aral ng mabuti.

Ang Friendly friendly niya talaga....
