Roger headed the list of seeded players to safely make it through to the third round on day four at Melbourne Park. He booked his passage to the next stage with an effortless 6-1, 6-2, 6-0 win over Fabrice Santoro.Only dropping three games during the entire match, just like in the first round, Roger was similarly ruthless against the wily 35-year-old Frenchman. There were a couple of moments of concern against the scrambling Santoro, but Roger always found a recipe.
"I just really got off to a good start and after that, it was tough for him," Roger said. "I really didn't give him much. I think I really played him in a very smart way." Santoro, in return, described Roger's performance as "perfect."
Bidding for his third successive Australian Open title, Roger will play Serb Janko Tipsarevic (ATP 49) in the next round.

**Look at the 3rd picture I've downloaded..It looks like Roger is a man on top of the earth. The color blue looks like the waters from earth. The tennis ball symbolizes a planet or a comet and the black one symbolizes the vast universe. Cool!**
