Roger has reached the final of the Gerry Weber Open today with a
6-1, 6-4 victory
over Germany's Nicolas Kiefer.

"Nobody had Wimbledon after the Gerry Weber Open before me," Roger said.
"I hope I can do it again this year."

Kiefer, who has fallen to No. 38 after a wrist injury, was the last player to beat Roger in Halle; in the 2002 semifinals.
The next year at Halle, Roger launched his grass streak, which includes five Wimbledon titles - which currently stands at 58 victories in series.

In Sunday's final, our star faces the winner between second seed James Blake and Germany's Philipp Kohlschreiber.

COMMENTS:
After that disastrous and annihilating lost of Roger against Rafa on clay court last Sunday, here is Roger Federer again improving his winning streak on grass!
I'm soo happy that he had left that incident past behind and looked forward for the grass season..and he had made it to the finals too!
That's super good news!
Roger Federer got the trophy on this tournament from 2003 to 2006, while he refused to join in here last year due to some leg injury.
I hope he can get the trophy back home for the 5th time.
